Who is Albert Einstein?
Albert Einstein is a German-American physicist who, in 1905, published three papers, each of which had a profound effect on the development of physics. In one paper, he proposed the theory of special relativity, which provides a correct description of particles traveling at high speeds. The two postulates of the special theory of relativity were that the speed of light in a vacuum is constant and that the laws of physics are the same for all inertial reference frames. Albert Einstein rewrote the laws of nature. He completely changed the way we understand the behavior of things as basic as light, gravity, and time. Although scientists today are comfortable with Einstein’s ideas, in his time, they were completely revolutionary. Most people did not even begin to understand them. Einstein was married two times; first to Mileva Maric with whom he had studied at the Polytechnic Academy. She was very smart and was a lot of help to Albert. They were married for sixteen years and had three children together, a daughter Lieserl and two sons, Eduard and Hans Albert. His second wife was Elsa, who was his first cousin. She had two daughters from a previous marriage. She and Albert had grown up together when they were children.
His health began to fail and he died at the age of 76.
