Who is Liv Tyler?
Liv Tyler is an American actress and former child model. She is the daughter of Aerosmith’s lead singer, Steven Tyler, and model Bebe Buell. After her film debut Silent Fall, she appeared in supporting roles in Empire Records, Heavy and That Thing You Do. Tyler began a career in modeling at the age of 14 but, after less than a year, she decided to focus on acting. Liv Tyler gained more popularity when she appeared alongside Ben Affleck in Michael Bay’s Armageddon. In 1999, she was given a role in the film adaptation of Alexander Pushkin’s novel Onegin, which also starred Ralph Fiennes. She also appeared in the Robert Altman films Cookie’s Fortune and Dr. T & the Women. Her most notable role was as the immortal elf princess Arwen in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy. She has served as a United Nations Children’s Fund Goodwill Ambassador for the United States in 2003 and as a spokesperson for Givenchy’s line of perfume and cosmetics. In 2014, Tyler made her television debut on the HBO series The Leftovers in a recurring role.
