Who is George R. R. Martin?

George Raymond Martin was born on 20 September 1948, in Bayonne, New Jersey. Martin began writing his first short fiction in the late 1960s but wasn’t published professionally until 1971. A lot of Martin’s early work was set in the ‘Thousand Worlds’, an SF backdrop set millennia into the future where humanity has slowly spread into space and encountered other races. George is famous for his bestselling series, A Song of Ice and Fire, which was later transferred into HBO television series, Game of Thrones of HBO. George R. R. Martin is publishing new storyline this year for Game of Thrones. George R. R. Martin is one of the richest writers and he has earned well from his novels, with his current net worth estimated to be around $65 million.  George R. R. Martin is married to his wife Parris McBride on February 15, 2011. They are a happily married couple and they are together since their marriage, currently living together in Santa Fe, New Mexico. However, we cannot find them having any children. Before marrying Parris, he was married to Gale Brunick in 1975, but the couple ended in divorce after 4 years of their marriage.
