What is the Dalmore 62?

The Dalmore 62 is from the personal collection of distiller Richard Paterson. The one with 12 pointer royal stag’s headset in platinum was sold at the duty-free shop in Changi Airport, Singapore as it earned the title of the Most expensive whiskey bottle to be retailed. This is the most expensive bottle available in a retail store. The bottle packed inside a royal custom-made wooden presentation case fetched a massive £125,000 when it was sold at the airport. The previous record for the most expensive bottle of Dalmore 64 was held by in Harrods which sold it for £120,000 This bottle was available in 2002 for $39,000; making the $200,000 sale price an appreciation that beats the stock market quite handily. This sixty-two-year-old whiskey from Scotland’s Dalmore Distillery was released in 2012. Due to the rarity of a whiskey of this age, Dalmore limited the bottling of this offering to only twelve bottles.
