What can be learned from the Experts by Experience project?
The concept of the organization that by reducing the gap between institutions and people, development is possible since these organizations need to better understand the living condition of the citizens and what services they need in order to have an improved lifestyle. Through employing people who have gone through the same experience and by training them to be better public servants, relationships with the people benefiting the project are since the people who serve them understand them in a way, not other social workers can. When a leader-follower relationship is strengthened, the quality of work is also improved since there is a greater motivation to reach the common goal. A good leader should be able to balance task and relationship in order to maximize success within the organization. The leader should also be able to reassure his members that because of his experience, he is best suited to lead them since the Experts by Experience know the living conditions of the people they are trying to help in a first-hand experience-basis. It is good that Belgium employs these kinds of people, giving also equal opportunity while strengthening the work quality.
