What is Public Health?
Public health is defined as the ‘science and art of preventing diseases’ which lengthens and advances life through the efforts and informed choices of the society and its individuals. This description lays out the foundation of the main focus of public health which is to reduce health inequalities by being able to protect the individuals of society from any type of diseases transferrable to humankind, it also tackles the improvement on the provision of the service and to promote the health of the population. In the Philippines, comparing to their neighboring countries has high fertility rates and also has the lowest use of contraception; the Philippines not only faces the barriers in terms of political and cultural but also in tackling the need of the policies they created. A lot of different organization, which are both public and private sectors, allocates amounts and funds extensively on the resources in order to promote the campaigns for public health which educates the public on the benefits of a healthy behavior and the consequences of otherwise
