What is the the film Judgment at Nuremberg about?
Though the courtroom drama was first released in 1961, it is just as relevant today as it was when it was first featured onscreen. Its main theme revolves around International incursions and harrowing events that happened during World War II. The characters of the film engaged in a debate to discuss if Nazi Germany will be held liable for the atrocious events that occurred and how political and legal measures permitted such horrendous activities to take place. In addition, the judges try to uphold the law and enforce them to the four defendants in court. n Germany, the law allowed the authorities to conduct actions deprived people of their liberty and rights such as murder and torture that just because they belonged to a certain religious group or they are handicapped. Injustice based on racism and bigotry became enshrined in a legal system in order to promote patriotism and nationalism.
