What to do if your child is being bullied?

The most important thing parents do is to listen to burden their child is carrying. Show concern and willingness to help your child while providing opportunities for them to talk to you about their worries. It may take time but if you send a clear message that bullying is unacceptable and does not have to continue, your child should feel comfortable enough to tell you what is going on. And you must always act even if your child wants you to do nothing. Be wary of the signs of bullying such as aggression at home, sleeping badly, bedwetting, dropping grades at school and illnesses like head and stomach ache, as well as a reluctance to let parents near their laptops or mobile phones if the bullying has moved online. If this happens, make sure to contact the nearest authority when the bullying has worsened and make sure to provide your child comfort and concern in this difficult time of their life.
