What is the source of American National Style?

It is found in the conditions under which generations of American policymakers operated and the ideas that guided their thinking. The large size of the United State brought an abundance of natural resources which built a prosperous economy. Between the 1600’s and 1800’s America grew from isolated settlements into an economic power rivaling the European, wherein this growth took place without any master plan. Self-Reliance, flexibility, and improvisation were the main virtues in developing America. This growth occurred in an unparalleled global harmony era. And peace and security came in naturally. Democracy is the source of American security since “People are rational beings capable of determining their own best interest”. Individuals do not need the application of state powers to settle disputes – negotiations, reason, discussion are the answers.Trade is seen as one of the promoters of peaceful settlements, and marketplace and government are in direct competition with each other. Commerce always creates interest in peace, the government has limited powers.
