What is Lenovo?

Lenovo is a famous international technology company that produces hardware and software solutions. The Lenovo Corporation is the result of a merger between a Chinese company and the IBM Personal Computing Division. Lenovo was founded in 1984 by a group of technologists and scientists in China. The company distributed products for large technology companies such as IBM and HP before manufacturing its own products. Ten years after its founding, Lenovo became a publicly traded company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Lenovo made a name for itself in the domestic market once it started selling computers using its own brand name in the 1990’s. Lenovo has a corporate culture very different from that of other Chinese companies. They are headquartered in China and US. English is diligently spoken in Lenovo headquarters. Yang made it his personal mission to see that Lenovo became a friendly place for foreigners to work with.
