How does the China Dream affect its foreign policy?

The China Dream will be a collective effort among its nationals to attain rejuvenation and reformation through socialism with Chinese characteristics. This is a slogan that has drawn worldwide recognition because of its goal to revive Sino-Centrism of the once humiliated nation by the West. Former President Deng Xiaoping established a foreign policy that steered the paths of China into a quieter position in the international arena. However, over the years, China is veering away from its former foreign policies and is now constructing a more assertive and robust foreign policy that is becoming the foundation for China’s new overarching diplomatic strategy and growing stature in the international community. Nevertheless, China is still in pursuit of peace despite its demonstration of military and economic capability. This concept can be supported by the statement of the president, “We Chinese love peace. No matter how much stronger it may become, China will never seek hegemony or expansion. It will never inflict its past suffering on any other nation.”
