Countries from all over the world are given equal chances to send their best bet to represent their homeland’s authentic native beauty. The candidates are judged on different aspects and qualities, then the one who stands out wins the coveted title. According to Wikipedia.Org, Brazil, Venezuela, and the Philippines are the top three most successful countries to win the Big Four International Beauty Pageants. The Big Four consists of Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Earth, and Miss International. The winners of these pageants are busy touring all over the world in making a difference to countries in need of dire help due to disaster, poverty, and social abuse. These beauty queens prove that they aren’t just for photo shoots for magazine covers and runway models.  Miss World 2016, Rolene Strauss, raised UK£350,000 for the Adopt-a-School foundation. Aside from these advocacies, the event usually involves judging the physical appeal, intelligence, personality, congeniality, and talent of the contestants. The crowned beauty queen wins the title because of her firm stand and knowledge on her beliefs and advocacies. Beauty pageants aren’t only glamorous ball gowns and beautiful crowns, it is also poverty, abuse, discrimination, and hope. Beauty pageants are a platform to help charities and the less fortunate. Winners of Miss Universe and the like gets to work with organizations like UNICEF to make the lives of other more beautiful.
