When you start recognizing the red signs that your partner is only using you for money and social status, this is very difficult because most victims of gold diggers are generous in nature. This is very difficult to accept because giving your all to someone, and only to find out they only want what you can give them, is devastating.  Your friends and family must be the first to notice that your partner only wants what’s in your bank account because they are not in love with them. You, on the other hand, see your partner in rose colored glasses. This prevents you from fully analyzing the situation, because you are also in denial. You might choose to defend your partners, but try looking at red flags as well. Your partner might get mad at you if you don’t buy the gifts that they want, or would only show you love if they want a new present. This is a great indicator of them manipulating you to get what they want. Try suspending your gift-giving habits, and you’ll see a significant change in how they treat you.
