How do you cope with loss of a loved one?

Death is inevitable. To the people left behind, it can be devastating especially if the person who recently died shared a good part of their lives with us. The NHS.UK share some tips on how to cope with the loss of a loved one. Finding people who you can lean on is important in this difficult time of your life. Talking to other family members, friends, and therapists can help ease the pain you’re going through. Expressing yourself is a good start in moving on. Aside from that, let yourself feel the emotion fully. Bottling it up might only damage you in the long run. Letting yourself cry until you fully feel what you have to feel helps soothe the emotional damage you feel inside. In addition, getting enough sleep, eating the right food, and finding a new hobby can help you get back on your feet. Things might not be the same as before, but you must fully accept that life needs move on after the time of your grieving stage. Also, avoid numbing the pain with alcohol, sleeping pills, or illegal drugs. These things have health effects and the numbness would only feel temporary, leaving you more wrecked in the end. The world will go on no matter what happens, however, take your time in healing yourself. There is no universal schedule to follow on when you can heal and move on, but, think about you and the people on Earth who need your love and support as well.
