Is school killing creativity?
With the current curriculum, nowadays, schools are being accused of destroying the creative skills of school children with its systematic and monochromatic environment. The academic industry seems to favor children who advance in Science and Math than children who are more interested in arts. This may be because they view the world as a world in need of more innovators in technology, science, medicine, and other technical fields, whereas they think the world is already filled with artists. Some children and adults reported that they were once creative and had a passion for art, but then school managed to let them rethink what really is important in life nowadays since sciences, technology, medicine, and law earn much more in terms of salary. However, arts must still be valued in school because without it, there would be no design around us. The world will only be black and white and very disorganized and disoriented.
